نسب أويس بن عامر وقبيلته
هو أويس بن عامر بن جزء بن مالك...المرادي ثم القرني الزاهد المشهور. أدرك رسول الله ولم يره وسكن الكوفة وهو من كبار تابعيها، ومن أفضل التابعين، على خلاف، قال أحمد: هو سعيد بن المسيب، وقيل: هو أويس القرني، وقيل: الحسن البصري
عاش أويس بن عامر في اليمن، وانتقل إلى الكوفة، وكان مع سيدنا علي بن أبي طالب في صفين وبها لقي الله شهيدًا.
روى أويس بن عامر عن عمر وعلي، وتعلم على يد كثير من الصحابة ونهل من علمهم حتى صار من أئمة التابعين زهدًا وورعًا، ولقد تعلم منه خلق كثير، تعلموا منه بره بأمه، وتواضعه لربه رغم ما ورد في فضله من أحاديث، ورغم ما ذكره به أمير المؤمنين عمر بن الخطاب، وروى عنه بشير بن عمرو وعبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى ذكره ابن سعد في الطبقة الأولى من تابعي أهل الكوفة وقال كان ثقة وذكره البخاري فقال في إسناده نظر وقال ابن عدي ليس له رواية لكن كان مالك ينكر وجوده إلا أن شهرته وشهرة أخباره لا تسع أحدا أن يشك فيه.
مكانة أويس القرني
لأويس القرني مكانة عظيمة يعرفها الصحابة رضوان الله عليهم لما سمعوه من النبي ، ولقد أفرد الإمام مسلم في صحيحه بابًا من فضائل أويس القرني ، وروى مسلم بسنده عن أسير بن جابر قال: كان عمر بن الخطاب إذا أتى عليه أمداد أهل اليمن سألهم أفيكم أويس بن عامر حتى أتى على أويس فقال: أنت أويس بن عامر؟ قال: نعم قال: من مراد ثم من قرن؟ قال: نعم قال: فكان بك برص فبرأت منه إلا موضع درهم؟ قال: نعم قال: لك والدة؟ قال: نعم قال: سمعت رسول الله يقول: يأتي عليكم أويس بن عامر مع أمداد أهل اليمن من مراد ثم من قرن كان به برص فبرأ منه إلا موضع درهم له والدة هو بها بر لو أقسم على الله لأبره؛ فإن استطعت أن يستغفر لك فافعل؛ فاستغفر لي فاستغفر له، فقال له عمر: أين تريد؟ قال: الكوفة قال: ألا أكتب لك إلى عاملها؟ قال: أكون في غبراء الناس أحب إلي قال: فلما كان من العام المقبل حج رجل من أشرافهم فوافق عمر فسأله عن أويس قال: تركته رث البيت قليل المتاع قال: سمعت رسول الله يقول: يأتي عليكم أويس بن عامر مع أمداد أهل اليمن من مراد ثم من قرن كان به برص فبرأ منه إلا موضع درهم له والدة هو بها بر لو أقسم على الله لأبره فإن استطعت أن يستغفر لك فافعل فأتى أويسًا فقال: استغفر لي قال: أنت أحدث عهدًا بسفر صالح فاستغفر لي قال: استغفر لي قال: أنت أحدث عهدا بسفر صالح فاستغفر لي قال: لقيت عمر قال: نعم فاستغفر له ففطن له الناس فانطلق على وجهه قال أسير وكسوته بردة فكان كلما رآه إنسان قال: من أين لأويس هذه البردة.
ونَادَى رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ يَوْمَ صِفِّينَ: فقال: أَفِيكُمْ أُوَيْسٌ الْقَرَنِيُّ، قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يقول: "إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ التَّابِعِينَ أُوَيْسًا الْقَرَنِيَّ".
ملامح من شخصية وعبادة أويس القرني
لكل من يريد الوصول إلى الله طريقًا يلتمس فيه القرب من الله، وما يميزه عن غيره، فالبعض اتخذ قيام الليلة وسيلة القرب إلى الله، والبعض الآخر اتخذ الاستغفار بالأسحار الطريق الذي ينتهي به إلى حب الله، والبعض اتخذ التفكر وسيلة القرب من الله، ولم يكن أويس القرني كعامة الناس يحيا ولا يفكر إلا في طعامه وشرابه؛ لكنه فهم حقيقة هذه الدنيا، وأدان نفسه وعمل لما بعد الموت، وكان يغلب على أويس القرني التفكر في مخلوقات الله لتنتهي به إلى حب خالقها، ولما قدم هرم بن حيان الكوفة سأل عن أويس القرني فقيل له: هو يألف موضعًا من الفرات يقال له: العريض بين الجسر والعاقل ومن صفته كذا فمضى هرم حتى وقف عليه فإذا هو جالس ينظر إلى الماء ويفكر وكانت عبادة أويس الفكرة.
انعكست عبادة أويس القرني على سلوكه، مما أثر إيجابًا في الآخرين، فقد كان التأثير بسلوكه أكثر منه بقوله، فهو المتواضع لربه، البار بأمه، ومع ذلك فكان دائم النصح والتوجيه للآخرين، قائمًا بالحق رغم معادة الآخرين له ورميه بعظائم الأمور إلا أن ذلك لم يمنعه من الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر، ومما يروى في هذا الصدد أن رجلاً من "مراد" جاءه وقال له: السلام عليكم قال: وعليكم قال: كيف أنت يا أويس؟ قال: بخير نحمد الله قال: كيف الزمان عليكم؟ قال: ما تسأل رجلا إذا أمسى لم ير أنه يصبح، وإذا أصبح لم ير أنه يمسي، يا أخا مراد، إن الموت لم يُبق لمؤمن فرحًا يا أخا مراد، إن معرفة المؤمن بحقوق الله لم تبق له فضة وذهبًا، يا أخا مراد، إن قيام المؤمن بأمر الله لم يُبق له صديقًا والله إنا لنأمرهم بالمعروف وننهاهم عن المنكر فيتخذونا أعداءً ويجدون على ذلك من الفساق أعوانًا حتى والله لقد رموني بالعظائم، وأيم الله لا يمنعني ذلك أن أقوم لله بالحق..
أويس القرني وبذل النصيحة

عاش أويس القرني بين الناس وهم يرمونه بالحجر فلا يجدون منه إلا أطيب الثمر، وكان يد الأذى تناله إلا أنه كان دائمًا ما يعفو ويصفح، وكان يجالسهم ويحدثهم رغم ما يصيبه من أذى ألسنتهم ويقول أسير بن جابر: كان محدث يتحدث بالكوفة فإذا فرغ من حديثه تفرقوا ويبقى رهط فيهم رجل يتكلم بكلام لا أسمع أحدًا يتكلم بكلامه فأحببته؛ ففقدته فقلت لأصحابي: هل تعرفون رجلاً كان يجالسنا كذا وكذا؟ فقال رجل من القوم: نعم أنا أعرفه؛ ذاك أويس القرني قلت: أو تعرف منزله قال: نعم فانطلقت معه حتى جئت حجرته فخرج إلي فقلت: يا أخي ما حبسك عنا فقال: العري. قال: وكان أصحابه يسخرون منه ويؤذونه قال: قلت: خذ هذا البرد فالبسه قال: لا تفعل فإنهم يؤذونني قال: فلم أزل به حتى لبسه فخرج عليهم فقالوا: من ترى خدع عن برده هذا فجاء فوضعه وقال: قد ترى فأتيت المجلس فقلت: ما تريدون من هذا الرجل قد آذيتموه الرجل يعرى مرة ويكتسي مرة وأخذتهم بلساني..
وفاة أويس القرني
خرج أويس القرني مع سيدنا علي كرم الله وجهه في موقعة صفين، وتمنى الشهادة ودعا الله قائلاً: اللهم ارزقني شهادة توجب لي الحياة والرزق. وقاتل بين يدي سيدنا علي حتى استشهد فنظروا فإذا عليه نيف وأربعون جراحة، وكان ذلك سنة 37 هـ في وقعة صفين.
